HyperText Mark-up Language (HTML 5) and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS 3) are two of the main web technology tools that enables the building and development of (front-end) websites. While HTML enable the main website structures, CSS enables the visual and animated layout for various devices.

Course Description

Modern Web Fundaments explores 2 basic developmental tools, HTML5 and CSS3 for the development of modern websites. HTML 5 is an improved version of the HTML mark-up language that enables developers to describe how web mark-up contents are designed structured and developed. With the combination of CSS 3, web responsiveness, animations, more complex content types are enabled including improved media, web applications and interoperability of html contents.

It is used for:

  • web responsiveness, animation
  • complex media and web applications
  • interoperability of HTML content

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. 

No minimum qualification required. English is the base language of study.

There are two parts to the assessment for these qualifications:

1. Multiple-choice question – 50 questions; 1-hour duration

2. Project/assignment – a production through Application Development Life Cycle.

Upon successful completion of the course, candidates are awarded a Certificate in Website Design and may progress by direct-entry to any of the Diploma/Higher Diploma course. Candidates may equally exit to employment and do well vocationally.

All students are required to pay the following fees:
